World Jamboree

Good morning, good evening and good night.

Chamonix Practice Camp 2

Once Carol’s house had been located our intrepid contingent of Explorer scouts clambered eagerly into the awaiting cars for the long journey to north wales, excited by the prospects of cold weather from the weather forecasters and the chance to have some fun in the snow.

For once the forecasters did not dissappoint, as we pitched tents late at night after arriving at the campsite a stone’s throw from the mountains it was bitterly cold and windy. Awaking the next day.. [More]

North Wales Hills Trip

Scotland 2005-6

Once again the mighty combination of Misbourne and Matrix units (with the addition of three keen menbers of another unit along for the ride) set out for scotland. This year we left Link road in the snow, and encountered flurries on our way up north which oddly ran out before we got to our final.. [More]

Winter Expedition

H'Okey, SO. ..We went up Mount Crib Goch I believe, and then went across the peaks and on up to Mount Snowdon. The weekend was fun! I enjoyed it. The only snatch was when Pete didn't have any petrol in the minibus to begin with - we decided to bunk down at his house for the night, ready to get up early to bundle in the minibus and get to Wales before the day..
